I was sold at the kitchen. The countertops, backsplash,and island are stunning! I would have to make the lounge by the kitchen a proper dining room, because the floor of guests would require a proper table setting. It’s just a shame it’s 2brs not more.

One thing I’ve noticed is that Italians don’t believe in windows. It’s like living in a cave.

This is my favourite home of all you have shown recently! I need to have a real garden/yard as I have dogs and cats. The views are amazing and the updates very reasonable. If I had the funds right now, I would be looking into making an offer!!😊

To update this house, & bring to 21st century Code, one may need to add easily about 80 thousand Euros. Are there restrictions imposed by City Hall re constructions/changes to the house??? Plumbing, water heaters (BRs & kitchen), electricity, wall removal, entire new kitchen, stairs, balconies, doors, some windows, heating/cooling, fire place, roof/attic repair, garden repair, room at street level, permits, architect fees, etc. It will take about a year to get it modern, safe & comfortable. Not for folks with arthritic knees!!! Also, where is there a place to park ones car?? Where is the nearest doctor, dentist, pharmacy, hospital?? Oohing& ahhing about the low cost of the house is a bit naive. But have at it - if you considered everything. Italy is beautiful!!!💗💗💗

And something else there is a lot of molds in that kitchen area by cabinets but you just keep moving with camera so we could not see it

Although I am not looking to buy a place in Italy, I really enjoy your videos as they help me dream and get my creative juices going. I look forward to each one as they come out. And you are such a fun tour guide. I really enjoy your comments and suggestions. I can’t help reply to this one. If a person had a budget, I would consider moving that staircase from the middle of the room to the side. Also, because of that large upper terrace I would be curious if the whole second floor could be opened up ( with the staircase moved) to have the kitchen/dining/living room up with that large terrace. Might as well spend the most time where the views are! And then I would see about making the main level into 2+ bedrooms with possibly 2 onsuite BRs. Finally I would see if the lower level could be used as a large family/tv room connected to the main level. Of course a girl can always dream. 😀

Soul! That's what I love about old Italian homes. As an American, with our cookie cutter construction grade boxes, they have no soul! I pray the person who buys this treasure only does necessary maintenance. Please don't damage it's soul!

Well that’s the way it goes. By the time these videos hit, they already sold. But there is good news, you can find properties that are nicer and sometimes cheaper when you actually go to Italy and work with a realtor.

Oh my, you had me at "secret garden"! I love this house, with a little effort it can be a real jewel! My old knees, however, tell me to think about removing the stairs and adding a small lift (highly doubt I'd get permission though).

It’s hard for an outsider to understand what’s where in Abruzzo. The earthquake risk lessens dramatically as you move toward the sea and there is one spur where there’s less risk even inland. The weather is hard to understand because of the mountains, you can drive from winter to summer going downhill but I wouldn’t know how far up I’d like to live. Someone needs to create a good map of the area focused on the needs of retirees and expats! It’s so beautiful, it just needs to be easier.
